Juke

Creating listener touch points to upgrade to premium accounts

A 5-day design sprint for an iOS music streaming app

Project overview

Juke is a new startup that offers a music streaming app called Juke that’s based on a freemium model. Since its launch two years ago, Juke has cultivated a reliable base of free listeners. Now that Juke has devoted listeners, it’s time to start exploring ways to generate revenue.

With initial research provided, I joined the Juke team to synthesize their findings and explore ways to promote paid accounts while improving the listener experience.

Synthesizing the research

Prior to joining this project, Juke performed user interviews to get an understanding of who their listeners are. I reviewed the interviews to learn for whom I would be designing.
